9/4/23 Controversial Research

Gun control is a controversial topic. I decided to research it as my one of my first research topics for this reason. I wanted to look into different news perspectives of the topic and the reporting of each article. Bias is an important thing to consider when it comes to research. It’s better to find unbiased sources, but sometimes it’s interesting to consider the sources that clearly side with one opinion. I have researched gun control a lot and have done a lot of assignments on it and one of the main reasons why I think it’s an interesting topic because it’s an active debate. The more I research, the more I see more point to peoples’ arguments. I like to know why people have the opinions they do and research is an easy way to do that. Even if I don’t agree with someone, it’s important to analyze why opinions form and things happen. Although I’m not too interested in working with these kinds of laws, it’s something everyone should know about.
